Do you have concrete surfaces that over time have become increasingly uneven? Do you have areas in your sidewalks or driveways that have slab edges protruding up or sinking down? Concrete slabs can be susceptible to a variety of factors that can cause them to tilt and settle over time including erosion, unstable soil, frost or freezing, and improper drainage just to name a few. These edges can be dangerous, make drainage issues worse and can cause concrete slabs to crack and break.
At Able Concrete Raising & Pouring, Inc. we focus on what we do best. We are in the business of mud jacking; that is what we do, and we make sure we do it well.

MUDJACKING BENEFITS

  • No color change in concrete

  • Work completed in hours,
    not days
  • Concrete available for immediate use

WHAT IS CONCRETE RAISING & POURING?

steps-combined
Concrete raising is often called "mudjacking" or "concrete lifting". It is a safe and cost-effective method of leveling misaligned concrete slabs. Mudjacking is done by drilling a series of holes (approximately the size of a quarter) into the slab and then pumping a mixture of concrete and recycled sand into the holes. The voids under the sunken slab fill with this mixture and are lifted up, back into position. The holes are then patched with cement and ready for use. The process of raising concrete with concrete results in a repair that is impervious to water and therefore a more permanent fix.

CONCRETE RAISING IS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

We care about our environment. All of our concrete raisings are done using an all-natural product that is a mixture of recycled rock and sand. It is environmentally friendly and it will not damage surrounding landscaping. By raising settled concrete rather than replacing it, we create less waste, and mudjacking is considerably less expensive than the cost of replacing the entire slab of concrete.

Mudjacking FAQs in Lakeville, MN

  • What Is Mudjacking, and How Does It Work in Lakeville, MN?

Mudjacking, also known as concrete raising, is a process that lifts sunken concrete slabs by injecting a slurry mixture under the affected area. In Lakeville, MN, this technique addresses soil shifts caused by freeze-thaw cycles, restoring level surfaces efficiently and preventing further damage to sidewalks, driveways, and patios.

  • How Much Does Mudjacking Cost in Lakeville, MN?

The cost of mudjacking in Lakeville, MN, usually ranges based on slab size, depth of sinking, and site accessibility. On average, it costs 50-70% less than full concrete replacement. Most residential projects can be completed affordably, often between several hundred and a few thousand dollars, depending on the scope. For a detailed estimate and expert advice, contact Able Concrete Raising & Pouring, Inc. today at (651) 688-3048 to discuss your mudjacking needs.

  • What Is The Difference Between Mudjacking And Polyurethane Foam Raising?

Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to lift concrete, while polyurethane foam raising involves injecting expanding foam under slabs. Mudjacking tends to be more cost-effective and eco-friendly in Lakeville, MN, but foam can provide a lighter fill and cure faster. The best choice depends on soil conditions and project requirements.

  • How Long Does the Mudjacking Process Take in Lakeville, MN?

Typically, mudjacking projects in Lakeville, MN, take just a few hours to complete. The process includes drilling holes, injecting slurry, and sealing the surface. Because it’s minimally invasive, most homeowners experience little disruption and can use their concrete surfaces again the same day.

  • Is Mudjacking a Permanent Fix for Sunken Concrete in Lakeville, MN?

Mudjacking provides a durable solution by stabilizing soil beneath concrete slabs, often extending the surface’s life by 10 to 15 years. However, factors such as drainage issues and soil conditions in Lakeville, MN, can affect longevity. Proper maintenance and addressing underlying problems help maximize the repair’s lifespan.
